Gossip Girls…

A new joint called American Craft recently opened up in my old neighborhood. I’ve been looking for a reason to visit so I got two of my co-worker/friends to join me. I’ve been working with these girls for almost 4 years now. It is hard to believe it has been so long!

Say hello to Steph and Niki. Does Niki look familiar? She was the bride from last October!
It was a beautiful day and I was looking forward to sitting outside, but the minute we arrived the wind kicked in. Eating in a wind storm is not my idea of a good time. We grabbed a window seat and started to look over their HUGE beer menu.
I saw a Goose Island on the menu and HAD to give it a try. This one was called Night Stalker and was an Imperial Stout.
I’m so glad that I learned how much I enjoyed dark beers. This was thick and heavy with flavors of caramel and chocolate. I’m definitely going to be ordering this again when I’m out!
I have a goal of trying every veggie burger in the greater Boston area. I saw one on the menu and knew it had to be. American Craft allows you to pick the goodies you want on top. I went with cheddar cheese and avocado.
Typical veggie burgers are made with some kind of black bean mixture. Not this one. It was a smooshed vegetables that had a green hue. At first I was turned off by the texture, but it grew on me. Plus the burger was HUGE. I would definitely order it again and this time I would be prepared!
Beer and burgers are the way to get ready for a long weekend. Yay for Goose Island! American Craft is a nice change from The Publick House and I plan on going back again.

G’night kids!
