Feel Good Friday…

by agirlandhermutt on July 16, 2010

I’m a LIST lover. I like to make check lists, grocery lists, lists of fave things, and especially To Do lists. Here is my “daily docket” that I fill out every day.

I also tend to number my thoughts in emails or when I talk. It helps me keep organized and lets me make sure I get it ALLLLL out. Today is no different.

1. Today is Friday. THANK GOODNESS. I’m ready for a relaxing weekend filled with studying for a final and laying low. When I say laying low, I really mean working from home quite a bit and getting rid of the massive amount of dirty laundry that is in my house. Volunteers?

2. Tonight is the release party at Healthworks for Body Jam and Body Pump! Whoo hoo! Friday night gym party. Here that kids? It is the fun phone ringing!

3. I discovered this great internet radio station called StereoMood. Pick the emotion you are having that day and be greeted with a playlist tailored to your emotions! Happy is my fave station!

4. I’m doing my first giveaway on AGAHM! Ready for the fun to begin?! Fun for you because you potentially get something for free. Fun for me because I get to give a present (remember I love to give!) AND see all kinds of fun comments from my little lurker friends. ;)

I discovered this awesome PB2, by Bell Plantation, which is basically powdered peanut butter.

The good folks at Bell Plantation roast the peanuts and then squeeze all the fat and oil out of them. For every 2 tbsp. of PB2, mix in 1 tbsp of water. Creamy consistency, peanut butter flavor and yummy deliciousness.  Lets do a little comparison:

Regular PB: 2 tbsp=190 calories, 17 grams of fat

PB2: 2 tbsp=45 calories, 1.5 grams of fat

HELLO?!

Ok, so now the logistics (yay! I get to number some things!)

AGAHM is giving away a jar of PB2, along with a uber cute spoon and bowl to make the mix in!

oooh… I love lists… I tried to click on your photo to see up close what your “daily docket” looks like… did you make it yourself?

Jason and I both use Behance Journals. We recently read Getting Things Done, and these follow the GTD ideas. I LOVE LISTS ! :)

and YAAAY for giveaway! One of my favorite ways to use peanut butter is in baking – my gf cookies, pb brownies, mmm on and on…

I also love to eat a spoonful prior to a workout if I’m not hungry. :)

I love using peanut butter for peanut butter cookies, especially since it my father’s least favorite type of cookie. More for me!

Have you heard of the book The Checklist Manifesto (http://www.amazon.com/Checklist-Manifesto-How-Things-Right/dp/0805091742)?

Hey Erin,

I love your blog! It’s the first thing that I read every day!! I don’t have any peanut putter suggestions or comments as the only peanut butter that I consume is in Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, which I Love but try to avoid!

Anyhow, I was wondering if you could send me a copy of your daily docket template? I could definitely use something like that.

Have a great weekend! Claudia

I have never heard of PB2, but that doesn’t surprise me since I live in Canada (hopefully that means I can still enter). I sure wish I was good at keeping lists, but I tend to have a hard time following them.

My favourite way to eat PB – a tie between these 2:
ants on a log – celery stalk, filled with PB and raisins on top
PB Cookies – 1C chunky PB, 1C Brown Sugar packed, 1 egg, 1 t baking soda, 1/2t vanilla, 1C mini chocolate chips. Mix everything except the chips together, then add the chips. Heat oven to 350 F, drop 1T of mixture onto cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. Cool and then eat. It must be cold, because this type of cookies don’t taste good warm.

I have always been intrigued by PB2, but have never had a chance to try it. I love good old peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, peanut butter cookies, and peanut sauce. Yum!

My favorite way to use peanut butter is in cookies for my husband! (Which reminds me that I should probably bake him a batch the next time he is home…)

I love peanut butter in pretty much any way you can think of :) But in/over ice cream probably ranks way up at the top! And then there’s my infamous peanut butter pie…

Best way to eat PB…right out of the jar of course! Though a close second would be peanut butter pie :-D

Do the nutritional benefits of peanut butter get cancelled out if you put it and Nutella on a banana? That is like a little party in your mouth right there! :)

I think we are soul sisters or whatever they call it. I ADORE lists! I love making them, I love scratching things off I love throwing the completed list away. I could do a dance in the grocery store when I check off the last item I need. I’d love to see your list better.
Now peanut butter? I married Bryan because his last name is Reese and Reese’s pb cups are my all time favorite candy in. the. whole. world! Making the criss cross in the peanut butter cookies with a fork is so fun to me it’s weird. Peanut butter on a Granny Smith apple? OH! MY! GOSH! There is nothing better! A peanut butter and banana smoothie with a shot of protein in it? seriously the best drink ever and you are full for 10 hours. I could go on until your blog kicks me off. I’m going to try this PB2 even if I don’t win. Thanks for the chance, what a sweet thing to do! :-) I’m off to track you down on FB. I have not been back to twitter since the day I followed you over there LOL
