Do you have any summer traditions? Besides going to the beach and frequenting farmer’s markets, one of my favorite summer activities is to hit up the SoWa Market. Read about my previous outdoor shopping adventures here and here.
Boston was beautiful and I was feeling the urge to spend some $$$.

My first stop was to stop and smell the flowers. You have to take the time, ya know?!

This vendor had these amazing purple string beans too. I’ve never seen these before and I am fascinated! Has anyone tried these before?

My next stop was to my favorite tent for this year, FuzzyInk.

They have the coolest designs and the SOFTEST tshirts. I already bought one this year and fell in love with another design on this trip.

I hopped around to a few more places and tried to resist the urge to put myself in the poor house by purchasing everything in eyesight.
*Cute harmonica necklaces (that really work!) by Little Pancakes.

*Absolutely genius ergonomic pet feeders made out of recycled wine crates by The Green Mutt.

*Hula Hoops by Sun Circles. Seriously. The coolest thing I have seen at the market. They had collapsible and standard hoops. Such a great idea! I have the feeling I will own one soon!

*Beautiful jewelry by *Insert a Name That I Can’t Remember!* I will remember though and fix this.

After all that window shopping (and possibly a *little* bit of real shopping) I was starvin marvin. I bought a falafel wrap from South End Pita and took a pit stop.

Hey! Look who joined me at the market!

To wash my yummy falafel pita down I went for a classic Del’s Frozen Lemonade. These remind me of Damian’s from when I was a kid. Orange flavor was my fave! Was that just a southern thing?

My final stop of the day was to see a super busy tent, Sailor’s Swagger Pineapple Hot Sauce. Pineapple? Hot Sauce? Together? Hmm…

Oh my gosh…so good! It has a smoky quality that is stellar. It was fresh, tasty and just the right amount of heat. Even better, it was made out of quality ingredients. What you see below are the ONLY things that go into this hot sauce. How great is that?!

Phew…I’m tired just recapping! It was a great day doing some good ol’ sun shopping. Ready for my purchase recap?
A new headband that I’ve been craving forever!

A fun FuzzyInk tee called “A Helping Hand”.

A nifty fork & spoon bracelet that is perfect for a foodie.

And some fantastic Sailor’s Swagger Pineapple Hot Sauce.

Stellar Sunday afternoon! Korky was pooped when we got home and I might have needed a nap as well. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

that pineapple hot sauce sounds amazing – do they sell online ???
My Grandpa Z always told me to “stop and smell the roses” – and I always do… and I always think of him !
Grandpa Z was a smart cookie!
They do sell online! http://www.sailorsswagger.com/
What awesome finds! That headband is too unique and pretty. Love it. Also, soft tees are so hard to come by. I would love to get my hands on one of them.
I want to live in this tshirt. It is so perfect!
Oh, your purchases are adorable! I love that shirt. I’m checking out their website right now and coveting. Omg, and that fork/spoon bracelet is too cool!
Get the hula hoop; you won’t regret it. They’re so much fun!
I don’t have any summer traditions; mostly I sit around and wait for school to start. Hehe.
I haven’t been out to SoWa yet this summer! So much to do in a few short months.
My biggest, cannont-live-without tradition…Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffees. Blueberry. Decaf. Skim Milk. Two Sweet and Low. At least once a day.
Wow, you got some really great finds! I love shopping at outdoor markets like that, I always find such unique things. And I have tried the purple beans before, they turn green when you cook them!
Really?! Ok, so anything remotely hypercolor needs to be part of my life. I will pick them up next time!
I love markets! Sounds like you found some goodies. And fallafel, yum!
Cool beans homey-chickien! Your weekend sounds terrific. Love that area of the country. By the way, you do like your beautiful Mother!!!! I love this website. Looking forward to reading more in the future.
