Sorry! I don’t work here.

PSA: Do NOT wear a red tshirt to Target. It will cause chaos and confusion.

An old lady thought I worked at Target today and proceeded to yell at me for 10 minutes because I didn’t know where the vitamins were. I love my fun red shirt. I love my bar scanner app for my fun new phone. I love my fun lanyard for my work badge. Put all those together though and you can just say “Welcome to the Target Team!”. Lesson learned.

Now on to some bachelorette festivities! My friend, Annemarie, is marrying a wonderful Greek man. My wonderful friend, Karen, is creative and created a whole little outing based on the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Seriously…is there anyone who doesn’t love that movie?!

Get it? Annemarie’s Big Fat Greek Bachelorette Day! We started off the morning with a fun photo scavenger hunt. We followed clues based on pieces of the movie. For example, in the movie the dad, Gus Portokalos says “Give me a word, any word, and I show you that the root of that word is Greek.” Our job was to find a word and create a way that its root was Greek.  My team picked “naked” from the coconut water I was drinking. Ha…

Some other items had us buying fun nail polish, dancing a Greek dance in the middle of the street, and taking a picture with a man we thought Annemarie should marry instead of her future husband. I don’t have photos to prove it, but I *might* have said she should marry a man by the name of “Captain Morgan”. Clever huh?

We ended the first part of the day at Tavern on the Square with a drink and a nice “Opa!”.

Did I mention that my team won because we managed to create a unique and original bridal veil? Oh yea….99 cent granny panties came in handy for this craft project!

The second half of the day was dedicated to eating, drinking, and being merry with Annemarie!

The food was delicious and included baklava, falafel, greek salad, moussaka, and pastitso. Holy  yum…Greek food is so good!

Greek wine…not so good.

Finally…a photo of the bride-to-be with the party planners. :)

Last, but certainly not least…a toast to Annemarie with Ouzo.

Event with water cutting it, I am NOT a fan. *Shudder*

Everyone had a fantastic time. It was so fun to spend the day doing something different and unique to celebrate a fun lady! Big ups to the party planners!

PS. I apologize for the poor photo quality. I left the camera at home and I have apparently not learned how to use my camera phone very well yet.

LOL about the Target incident AND Kristina’s comment above. I swear that’s happened to me, too but I can’t remember if it was Target or elsewhere. Too funny. And what a fun bachelorette party! Love Greek food. Perhaps we should plan a trip to Greece??

that actually looks like a really fun day! i have kind of a phobia of bachelorette parties (i worry about what mine will be like) – just squeezed my way out of attending one (not for a close friend of mine) next month for a marathon. hahaha

your target story is kind of funny. you should have yelled back!

That is hilarious! Note to self: abandon all red shirts. I’m up for going to Greece should you and Dorry decide to high tail it outta here… and Haya how can you be afraid of bachelorette parties?! I love any excuse to run around and act like a fool :)

I’ve always wanted to try that version of coconut water. I find they all taste so different, and some taste horrible! They are good for refueling after a workout :)

Lol I’ve often mistaken people in red shirts as members of the “Target” team. I’d never yell at anyone though :-P .

At least you didn’t yell! I must have a look about me that screams “I work here” because I get this a lot!

Looks like a great time, wish I could have been part of the festivities! The bridal veil reminds me of your exercycle days as a child with your unique hair covering (shower cap look)!!!!!!!!! :-)
