Phew. Was this week SUPER long for anyone else? Normally I’m not one to wish away days to get to a weekend (enjoy every day and all that jazz!), but this week was BRUTAL. I didn’t have a bad week but it just felt like it dragged on forever. Anywho…
What better way to start the weekend then to focus on some fun things. These couple of things have been making life a little more enjoyable for the past few weeks and hopefully give you something interesting to look at too. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Everything about Adele is A-Ok in my book. Her Chasing Pavements song used to my ringtone. Well, until my co-worker kindly asked me to change it before she had to stab herself in the eye. This version of Natural Woman is just FANTASTIC. I feel transported right into a Hanes commercial…in a good way of course.
I’m also in LOVE with this mashup by Craig Vanity of Lindsay Lohan’s Rumors and Adele’s Rumour Has It. Two reasons for this…
a. I secretly wish that Lindsay would get it together. I love her and I need her to stop being such a screw up. (I’m completely obsessed with celebrity gossip.)
b. I love Mashups. The whole Girl Talk album got me through MONTHS of training for the Avon Walk last year.
2. The Stationary Bike
I’m a foam rolling maniac after this baby.
Evernote should be every blogger, cook, and general internet searchers best friend. It is an app that can be downloaded to your phone and desktop and is used to store “notes”. These notes can be anything from a webpage, a piece of a webpage, a photo, a voice memo, and hand written note. You can also tag these notes to be easily searched. My fave way to use this app is when I’m browsing recipes online. I save a page that I find to Evernote on my computer with a tag of “recipe” and then when I’m at the store I just pull up that tag on my phone app version to make get the ingredients I need.
Anyone use this app? Do you have other ideas for fun apps that help get life organized?
4. Herbal Essences Leave-In Conditioner
This leave-in conditioner is the best thing EVAH. I wash my hair every other day so I like to get it all nice and conditioned when I get a chance. I use this all up in the tips of my hair and it works great. I love that this is cheap, smells yummy, and gets the job done. Plus, I get a kick out of its name “Long Term Relationship”. This is probably more than you ever wanted to know about anyone’s hair ever.
5. Rachael Ray Knife Set
This knife set is new to the AGAHM household. My parents sent it to me as a birthday present. You never know how much you need new knives until you get some. I had no idea that it was possible to slice through a potato with a knife! These knives are amazing.
Now lets get this weekend started! Do you have any big plans?
I will be enjoying a dinner party with friends, some working out, and a belated birthday dinner. Cheers!
