11.11.11 Thank You Veterans…

11.11.11! Ok, confession…I’m not sure what the big deal is about 11.11.11. Other than the fact that days like these are the perfect day to have a baby or a wedding on. So easy to remember! People on Facebook keep saying something about wishes. Am I supposed to wish? Is there a limit on what I can wish for? Are there guidelines for said wish?

I do know what else today is though…Veteran’s Day!

I just want to sincerely thank all of those who have served and are still serving our country.

I’m not sure if I’ve told you but my parents were military folks. Navy represent!

*Note to my folks: I have one scanned photo of Dad in this uniform. None of Mom! I need one of Mom and possibly one that is not so goofy of Dad. Make it happen!*

Phew. I’m sorry. I had to catch my breath from laughing at this photo. Every time it gets me. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

You’ve never made a wish at 11:11 on the clock?! Girl, you’ve been missing out! “11:11, make a wish!” was a common refrain throughout elementary school straight-up through now. I think the prevailing theory is that since it’s 11/11/11, if you make a wish at 11:11am/pm, it should be an “extra-special” wish.
