Good Monday morning friends! It is crazy cold here in Boston. I LOVE cold weather, but I do NOT enjoy walking the Mutt in the cold temps. It never fails that he takes twice as long to find the perfect spot to do his business.
Well, after starting off a post about bathroom habits, lets get to the fun part of my weekend.
Friday was Breakfast for Dinner night! The Scientist and I had a full-on breakfast that included Eggs a la Erin, turkey bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes. Oh! And Mimosas. Don’t forget the booze!

Eggs a la Erin is really kind of like eggs benedict. I use Thomas Corn English Muffins (a little sweet!), Laughing Cow cheese spread on the muffin, smoked salmon, a fried egg, hollandaise sauce and a bit of salsa.

The other big event of the weekend was The Scientist’s holiday work party. I love going every year! They really know how to do it up right. This year’s was at the Intercontinental Hotel. Such a lovely venue!

The theme for the night was A Midwinter Night’s Dream. Each room was named after a different tree and there were little woodland fairies around.
There were a couple things at the party that I couldn’t figure out including this giant green table lady. What the heck was this?!
It kind of reminds me of their party from a couple of years ago. They had all kinds of tree and table people.
My dress kind of blended in with the theme, but was my favorite of all the years.
I did simple gold accessories accessories and the dress was a beautiful shade of forest green.
-Kirks Folly earrings
-Nine West Ambitious Nude Heels
-Isaac Mizrahi Live Gold Crystal Bracelet

We clean up pretty nice, huh?
I loved that the holiday party for this year was in January. It was nice to not be so crazy during the actual holiday season and it gave us something to look forward to after NYE. Thanks to The Scientist for letting me tag along!
It was a lovely evening followed by a Sunday that didn’t involve much more than football and laying on the couch. SCORE!

Bfast for dinner is one of our fave meals! Never knew they made corn English muffins- sound awesome! You look beautiful and love the outfit! Our holiday party isn’t till February and the theme hasn’t been announced yet so we shall see ;P
Thanks so much! Ohh! A February holiday party. Even better!
Damn, they outdid themselves this year! I remember the pics from last year and it looked swanky but this looks swanky + funk and I dig that.
Ahhhh bfd, it’s been too long. I need to buy some real bacon and make some breakfast one night. Easy, cheap, quick-hooray!!
Didn’t they?! This year really ranked up there for a good party.
BFD is where it is at.
Breakfast for dinner is just about the best thing ever. My husband says he isn’t into it for some reason, so I usually just make it when he’s gone.
That party looks amazing (and so do the two of you!)! We stayed at the Intercontinental last summer and loved it! Definitely one of my fave hotels in Boston (besides the Liberty of course!). I love that the party was a few weeks after the holidays too- what a great way to beat the January blues!
And I am SO EXCITED about this Sunday’s game- my Ravens vs. the Pats- awww yeah!
Love love love the Liberty! You have good taste!
You two look absolutely fabulous!
Our bosses give us cash and send us off to do a “girls’ Christmas” while they do a fancy schmancy dinner with their spouses. We always have a blast picking our own thing to do and it’s the one time a year that all the girlies in our office get together to do something fun outside of work. I have to say I do like the idea of doing a post-holiday Christmas party though – it’s kinda nice to dress up and have a night on the town after the holidays are over and the cold of January sets in.
Thanks so much! It definitely was a highlight to look forward to after all the fun stuff from the holidays had died down. The girls Christmas sounds super fun though! I’d definitely be on board with that.
