So Sad, Too Bad.

by agirlandhermutt on January 24, 2012

Sad news...my camera broke this weekend.

I take no blame for this unfortunate event.

Good news...I got hair extensions! Clip-ins. Not those freaky permanent glue-to-my-head kind. Since I now have a handy dandy iPhone I can still take ridiculous self portraits. Nerd alert! Figuring out how to put these things in has kept my mind off the sad death of my beloved point n’ shoot. We all grieve in different ways, right?

The verdict? My parents love them, my coworkers like them, my friends seem to enjoy them, The Scientist said “your hair is longer.” No lie. That was his response. I told him this is similar to a woman coming to work with a new haircut and everyone says “Ohh! You got your haircut!”. That is not the same thing as saying “I love your new haircut!”.  He didn’t argue with this comparison and I was annoyed. I am now secretly plotting to leave bits of my extensions around the house at random times to freak him out. *Insert evil laugh* ;)

What do you guys think of them? Creepy? Kind of real looking?

Also, the more important question…What camera would you guys recommend? Do you love your camera? HELP!

Your extensions look great! I just bought clip-in hair extensions too. I love mine as well, but I’m still a little too self conscious to wear them out on a non-theme-party night.

Ok, I’m NO help on the camera. But I want to hear more about the clip-ins. Were they easy, expensive? They look great on you! Now spill your secrets! ;)

Easy and pretty inexpensive. I’ll have a whole post on them next week!

Oh no, crushed camera :/ I got a Sony DSLR for my birthday that I love and it takes great pics but it’s a little bulky… There are tons of point and shoot options nowadays that are affordable!

P.S. Your extensions look great- really natural looking! How do they stay attached? Do you have to take them out in the shower or if you workout?!

There are so many options to look through! I am on the verge of finding the one I like the best.

Post next week on the extensions! I was surprised at how sturdy they were.

Those extensions look great – they’re very real looking!!!

I got a new Canon Rebel for Christmas. I’m still a little intimidated with it and I think I’m going to have to take a class to figure out how to use it to the fullest! It takes really nice pics and I think it’s a nice start to transition from a point and shoot!

You’re so cute!! Love it! Your hair (and your smile!) are beautiful!
I have a Canon Rebel and a Nikon D80… love ‘em both. (I’m lucky enough to have a lot of different cameras for work- one of the perks of being a photography teacher.)
But seriously- I really want an iPhone, damnit.
