Hellllo friends! I feel like we haven’t chatted in forever and I have so much to show & tell. Rather than ramble on for too long I’ll just get to it and show you what a great time I had over the 4th of July week with my Dad.

Food!
Always the most important item on any vacation agenda is to eat some great food. I hope I didn’t disappoint with my choices!
James Hook for Lobster Rolls & Stuffed Clams
Traditional diner breakfast at Diner at 11 North Beacon.
Lunch at The Courtyard restaurant inside the Boston Public Library.
Sweet treats at J.P. Licks!
We also did quite a bit of grilling, had some sushi, and visited my favorite, The Local. If anything, my Dad ate well while he was in Boston!
FUN!
In between all the meals, we fit in some sightseeing and fun things around town.
We made a visit to see the Tall Ships on the Waterfront.
We picked veggies at the farm while picking up my CSA goodies for the week.
And of course, we watched the Boston Fireworks! I also watch from a rooftop because I have a serious fear of my hair catching on fire. True story.
Oh, and did I mention we went hot air ballooning?!
As always, hanging out with my Dad is a good time. I’m pretty sure we drive my Mom nuts with our silliness.
Proof? These are the photos we sent her after waiting around for ballooning to start.
Sigh…what did we do before iPhone’s were invented?!
Now that my week of relaxing is behind me, I’m back on track. I go through a little post vacation depression every single time (as does the Mutt) I take time off but fortunately it usually only lasts a few days. I’m thinking by Tuesday I should be good to go!

So I’m back! I studied up on my Tone It Up nutrition plan and I’m back on track. Hello detox from all things wonderful.
Do you like fireworks? Did you do anything fun for the 4th of July?
