Attention all local Boston folks! The big day is almost here. The Boston Local Food Festival and Boston Local Craft Beerfest are this weekend!

This is the 3rd annual local food festival and not only will this be my 3rd time attending, but I’m also a Featured Festival Blogger this year. Woot!

Check out my experiences in the last 2 years:
2010 BLFF- Go Local!
2011 BLFF- Local Lovin’!
The festival has grown so much over the past few years and it even is moving to a bigger space. The festival is a great place to check out local restaurants, local farmers, and local products. The festival also has some great demos, DIY spots, and tons of music. AND IT IS FREE!
For a great look at all the events and how to get the most out of the festival check out this Plan of Attack from Boston Magazine.
BUT! Before the fun starts at the BLFF on Sunday the Local Craft Brewfest is happening TOMORROW! On Friday, October 5 from 6-9:30 some of the best local brewers will be on hand to show off their goodies.

While the food part of the festival is free, the brewfest does require a ticket ($45) but as a previous attendee…it is totally worth it!
Some of the brewers I’m really looking forward to seeing are High & Mighty, Notch, Clown Shoes, and Spindrift Sodas (not a beer, but still delicious!). There are a few breweries I’ve never tried either so I’m excited to give them a try.
Long story short…
Check out the websites, come drink some beer, be sure to stop by and eat local food. Be a part of a wonderful LOCAL weekend!

I am going away this weekend, and SO bummed to not be able to attend the Local Food Festival. So you better believe I’ll be waiting for your recap!
Next year! Such a fun event.
I just sent this to my husband- we’ve been meaning to get back to Boston since I graduated and haven’t… Hoping this would convince him
Sounds fabulously fun!!!
Great! Hope you make it!
I’m voluteering at both events!!
Best volunteer gig ever!
DANGIT. Why can’t that be the following weekend?
Especially the craft beer part. Maybe they should just continue it on for the following 8 days…
I’m sure we can figure out how to get you your own craft beerfest!
I just found your blog through Lauren of Oatmeal After Spinning – I love it! I am definitely going to try to go to the food festival – thanks for reminding me!
