Monthly Favorites: July 2013

by agirlandhermutt on August 2, 2013

I totally skipped May and June favorites. May was my month of no unnecessary purchases so I really didn’t have anything new to add to my favorites. I kind of took that into June too. Fortunately I busted out my wallet for July. Heh. Yay for monthly favorites!

Lets get to it!

1. C9 Champion Sports Bra from Target

I’ve become obsessed with workout clothes and sports bras fall into that category. Of all the different brands I’ve tried, my absolute fave is this C9 sports bra from Target. Its comfortable, adjustable, available in a variety of colors and cheap. I will admit that I am a lady with smaller bits so I can’t say this would be good for someone who is a little more gifted in that area. 😉

2. Lululemon Cool Racerback Tank

This was my first Lululemon purchase and I LOVE IT. I have a variety of tanks and tshirts to wear for working out. This particular tank though ranks up there as my favorite. The length is perfect to cover my hips and stay in place while doing all those down dogs or bending over my spin bike. No plumbers crack for this girl! I love how the fabric feels and it washes up really well too.

3. JoJo Blings in Hazel Facetted

I’ve talked about my blings about a million times. I can’t promise that I won’t talk about them a million more times. I wear them almost every day. They are perfect with any outfit! My hazel facetted pair are a smokey grey color that can easily pass for black with the right outfit. I probably wore this particular pair about 20 of 30 days in July.

3. Vintage Spoon Bracelet

When my Dad came to visit last month he bought me this vintage spoon bracelet that I had been crazy about for months from the SOWA Market. It is held together by heavy duty magnets and fits my wrist perfectly. It also fits in perfectly with my collection of Alex & Ani bracelets.

4. Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser

I don’t change up my face care routine often because I stick with what I know works. However, I saw this face wash and liked that it had Vitamin C in it. I don’t know about the claims that it will change your skin in “just 4 uses”, but I did like that my skin was smooth and refreshed after using it. There is no dry feeling and its gentle enough to use everyday. I also love the way it smells!

5. Essie Nail Polish in The Girls Are Out

Ack! This pink is so fun! It has a slight shimmer to it that makes it perfect for summer, but nothing that will look like you are coming straight from middle school . It also makes my hands look super tan!

6. The Body Shop Mango Body Butter

Body Butter is the best lotion out there, but this mango scent is just divine. I use this body butter on my reptile-like legs, old lady heels and super funky cuticles. It is super rich and thick, but not greasy. This is definitely for those of us that need an extra moisture boost.

7. FitMixer Clean Energy

I got a complimentary canister of Fitmixer Clean Energy when I was at the Blend Retreat a few months ago. Its meant to be a pre-workout energy boost, but I use it start my day. I mix it with about 20-24 oz of water, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, and a shake of cinnamon and cayenne pepper.

8. Truly Jess on YouTube

I found Truly Jess through Instagram and then discovered she had a YouTube channel. She does daily vlogs called TrulyDaily and I think they are so fun to watch! You all know I love YouTube and this is why. I get watch her make progress and its really inspiring!

Let me know what one of your favorites from July was! 🙂 See ya Monday!
