Hello! If I had to compare how I felt today to how I felt Monday, I would be at a loss for words. Although last night was not my best spinning class ever, I worked hard, sweat more and pushed through. In the end, I was rewarded for my hard work.
Yessss! 1.4 lbs down! Technically MyFitnessPal rounds up so I’m a few tenths away from 48, but I’m taking it. I figure that is what my undies weigh.
Honestly, this week was rough. I had the whole water retention issue. I didn’t feel all that great or energetic. Bootcamp was fantastic, but it WORE.ME.OUT. I was a little lazy about tracking over the weekend and probably let a few things slip by that I wouldn’t have if I was paying more attention.
My focus for this week is to really PAY ATTENTION this weekend. I workout just as hard during the weekend as I do during the week. There is no reason I shouldn’t be just as diligent in staying on point during the weekend with my food as I am during the week.
Going back to my old WW days, “If you bite it, you write it!”. Got it.
I also wanted to share a few products that I have been loving lately that definitely are helping me to achieve that healthy lifestyle I’m striving for. These are in NO WAY must have items. But they are for sure items that if you have a few extra bucks are worth the money!
I don’t drink any juice or sodas (wahhhhhh! I miss Coke!), but fortunately I love plain ol’ H2O. Most of the time I will have a seltzer when I am at home, but I also like shaking things up a bit. I got this pitcher from Target and I love it! Just cut up whatever fruits, herbs, or veggies that you want to infuse your water with and then add it to the core. The core sits in the water and slowly flavors your water. Because the fruit is in the core, it doesn’t get as mushy and gross. The pitcher itself holds 92 oz which usually lasts me 2 days (for the water I drink at home). I usually use the same fruit for about 2-3 fill-ups. For this pic, I used cut up lemons, cucumber and ginger. I’ve also tried grapefruit & mint, lemon & mint, just cucumbers and just lemons. So easy!
Homemade popsicles made easy! Zipzicles are simply plastic ziplock bags in the shape of a popsicle. I like cold things like ice and popsicles. However, I don’t want to buy a huge box of popsicles to take up room in my freezer. I found these baggies randomly and ordered a few bags. Simply make up whatever you want your popsicles to be made of, fill the bags, place them in a container so they can sit upright to freeze and then enjoy! For this batch I just made up a jug of water with a few drops water enhancer and then divided it up into the baggies. Each bag holds about 1/3 cup. You can freeze purees, yogurt, and pretty much anything you can blend up and isn’t carbonated. Perfect!
With the whole no grains thing happening, I am missing pasta every now and then. For the most part, zucchini pasta is just as good! Check out my full review of this product here. I use this sucker at least 2 times a week and even bought my Mom one for her birthday. <—–Lucky lady!
The fine folks at Level Terrain hooked me up with The FlipBelt, which is a machine washable belt that holds all your goodies when you need to be hands-free.
o Multi-access pocket openings throughout belt
o Flip to lock in items
o Reflective logo – 3M Quality Reflective
o Non-Bounce, Even Design
o No buckles to cause uncomfortable chafing
o Machine washable & Machine Dryable
o EPA Certified, Odor Resistant, Pilling Resistant, Anti-Bacterial High Tech Poly Spandex Fabric
I’ve had this belt for several months now and LOVE IT! I use it when I’m at the gym, out on a run, or even when I’m walking around the house and want to listen to my music and still be hands-free. When I cook I am almost always wearing this so I can have my phone on me without it getting in the way. I don’t care for armbands so this is perfect for me!
I will say that I am not able to wear my belt on my hips without it riding up a little. That woman in the above photo and I do NOT have the same shaped hips. I just wear mine near my waist and it never moves. See photo above. Yes, I included a photo that shows my stomach. I have officially lost my mind. Also, that is the top of my belly button piercing. Good times. I usually slip my keys, a chapstick, and my phone with headphones coming out the little opening.
If you are interested getting The FlipBelt for yourself, enter code “AGAHM” for 10% off until 9/13.
The second class for bootcamp is tonight! Not going to lie…I’m looking forward to getting the class done and then resting on Friday. Let’s do this!
*Just a note: I bought all items with my own money except The FlipBelt, which was given to me from Level Terrain. I received no compensation for this review and as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.*
