Hello friends! Each week I get a little giddy when it comes to my weigh-in day. I know I am working hard and it is totally showing. However, there is always one time in the month that I am not necessarily as anxious to weigh-in. TMI…but this is that time.
So this week I am down exactly 0 lbs.
If you were keeping track, that is a grand total of .4 lbs this month. Well isn’t that nice. Lovely!
Believe it or not, I’m totally ok with this! I worked hard and I see even more muscle definition this week than last. I’m a water retainer from way back in the day and losing weight doesn’t make that any different.
All that said, I’ve decided to try something new. When I was struggling to reach 50 lbs last month I knew that I had to shake things up. Over the past 9 months I’ve learned that I love working out, but food is obviously still my struggle. In no way, shape or form did I throw in the towel at any point though. I keep learning (and re-learning) how to deal with my intense love for all things salty, carby and boozy. What I was doing totally worked for me and I absolutely am thrilled with the results.
Whoa. I can’t believe I’m posting this photo.
BUT IT IS TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW! So on Monday night I officially became a part of the MShell Fitness family.
I’ve been following Michelle Davis, a personal trainer, on Instagram for some time now. Her photos led me to Truly Jess, who I have mentioned before. Michelle’s intense love for her clients and place in the fitness community combined with Jess’ amazing transformation led me know that I wanted to give the whole #mshellbombshell program a try. I officially made the decision when I came across Kim’s instagram, who works with Michelle, and saw how she was able to balance her healthy lifestyle with a full-time job. I emailed Kim and then that was that. For the first time ever that weird cycle of scrolling through stranger after strangers photos on the internet did something good!
I was sent my first packet of information, workouts and personalized diet plan earlier this week. I was about to jump in head first when I realized that I needed to be realistic. I have a BUSY weekend coming up and I wanted to be prepared to make this program, and myself, a total success. So for this week I am sticking to my current plan and workouts and then on Monday IT IS ON. Fortunately for me, the diet plan isn’t too crazy different than what I do now, but there are a few changes that I know I will struggle with. No cheese. Like none at all. Whoa. I think this type of challenge is just what I need to push me through that next chapter in my adventure.
The workouts are strength training focused and I am pumped (heh. get it?!) to get into it more. I love weights and just needed a little more guidance on how to get them all together.
Eek! I am so excited! I can’t share with you the workouts or diet that I have through the program, but I can still share my progress and weigh-ins as usual.
I feel like we are in this together, so ARE WE READY?! YES!
