Hi friends! I know you are wondering if I did the triathlon and I promise I will get to that, but first lets check out my last week of training.
Week 12 Triathlon Training (FINAL WEEK!)
Scheduled: Glute Camp
Actual: Glute Camp! Paige has done a really nice job with not only the workouts for each day, but also the communication of what needs to be done, how to do the moves and encouragement. I love it!
Scheduled: Pure Barre|
Actual: Pure Barre! It felt so good to be back!
Actual: Spinning! I got a late start coming home after work so I was afraid I was going to miss it, but really really wanted to get there. I have never changed so quickly in my life and was out the door in a flash!
Scheduled: Glute Camp
Actual: Glute Camp!
Actual: Nothing. The fiance and I went to a beer fest instead. Heh.
Actual: Rest. Kind of. I was at Six Flags for a good chunk of the afternoon for a Family Day through the BF’s work. We spent most of our time walking around because roller coasters make me sick. So not exercise, but also not laying on my couch.
On the way to Six Flags we also made a pit-stop in Webster to rack my bike and pick up my Iron Girl bib!
Scheduled: Possibly a Triathlon?!!!
Actual: THE TRIATHLON!
Yep, I did it! I really want to talk more about the race in general later in the week, but I will tell you that I had an excellent time! I was not the fastest, but I also accomplished what I set out to do…finish! My official time was 2:04:36. I came in 75th out of 83 for my age group. The winner was a 51-year-old woman who completed the tri in about 1:06. That is totally incredible! The oldest woman there was 71 and she came in just 10 minutes after I did! That is just nuts.

But what now? What is the plan?! I’m still working on my fitness plan going forward, but I’ve received a few emails that folks like my weekly workout recap so I think I’m going to stick with that. It helps keep me accountable with a schedule.
However, I decided to reward myself for finishing yesterday with a free week of workouts. I can do whatever I feel like! Here is my rough schedule.
Workout Schedule for 7/21-7/28
Monday- Off! I’m even skipping Glute Camp. Sorry Paige!
Tuesday- Glute Camp (Elliptical HIIT)
Wednesday- Glute Camp & Spinning
Thursday- Glute Camp
Friday- Glute Camp & Zumba!
Saturday- Free day! Maybe a class? Maybe a bike ride? Maybe a beach day?!
Sunday- Free day! Yoga? Bike? We will see!
