Goals: Finishing up July & Starting August!

by agirlandhermutt on July 31, 2014

If I didn’t make goals, would things get done throughout the month? I guess that is like asking if a tree makes a sound when it falls in the woods and no one is around. We will never know! I love goals! I don’t meet all of them, but at least they keep me on track…somewhat.

1. Train!- YES! I did this to the best of my ability and it showed!

2. Log 78 miles– Almost! I have one more mile to go. 🙂

3. Track all bites– I was off track with this one for the first part of the month but have really been dialed in for the past two weeks. Better late than never, right?!

4. Do 2 things on my 34While34 list!- YES!

1. Participate in an athletic event. Done! Iron Girl Sprint Triathlon 7/20/14
26. Buy a bikini. Done!

Yep, I bought a bikini! No pictures or anything. I’m not that nuts just quite yet, but I figured I would give it a try. It isn’t horrible. 😉

5. Read at least one book– Done! I read exactly ONE book. Ha! Ever the overachiever.

6. Workout in the AM 2x/week.- Not exactly. I worked out in the morning exactly 2x. Total. In the month.

7. Throw away some junk.- Yes, but I can guarantee you that my BF thinks it isn’t nearly enough.

Overall, a pretty successful month. I know we say this ALL OF THE TIME, but it is hard to believe that it is already going to be August! Seriously. What have I been doing all year?!

In an effort to enjoy the most of this summer, I am making goals for August that are more fun & summer based.

1. Get to the beach. Seriously. Just one time! Between training for the triathlon and it being WAY to hot, I just haven’t made it.

2. Watch a movie outdoors. Boston has tons of outdoor movie events and I want to go to one. Pretty simple.

3. Do 2 more things on the 34 while 34 list!

4. Make it to Pure Barre 6 times in the morning. I’ve tried the 7am class a few times and really liked it, but the amount of planning involved is nuts. I have to remember clothes, make-up and a real bra for work. BUT! I feel so good when I get it out of the way.

5. Enjoy some time with Korky. Obviously I spend tons of time with Kork, but often it is while I am doing something else. When we go on walks, I’m often checking the last bit of work emails for the day. I want to pay full attention to him and make sure the old guy knows how much I love him.

6. Be crafty! This past month I made our wedding invites. EEK! (I’ll show them to you later!) I had so much fun getting creative and crafty. I’m going to try to do a bit more of that this month. Pinterest…get ready!

7. Finish up my #175byLaborDay challenge. Whoa. That is a lot of miles! I can do it though!

I hope you guys are having a good week! If you have any big goals for August, let me know!
