Its Tuesday. And I’m telling all!

Week Completed: 6/28-7/4
Miles Logged on the Sneaks: About 20 miles. I managed to get in 10,000+ steps Mon-Thurs, Sat, Sun
X-Training Events: Body Pump was my BFF. I also took advantage of Healthworks other locations by going to Body Pump and Spinning in the Back Bay location. I’m still working on my running on the treadmill and it is getting better and better each week!
Others: Healthworks is doing some moving and it kind of messes up my class schedule. However, I get the chance to try out some other locations, new classes and new instructors. I had a serious OCD moment and made a massive schedule with all types of options to make sure I have *somewhere* to go each day. I’ll post the schedule soon!
If you wear a pedometer, do you challenge yourself to get more steps in everyday? I compete against myself all of the time!

Its Tuesday. I’m training. And I’m telling all!
Week # Completed: 4
Miles Logged on the Sneaks: 10…several walks around the neighborhood at night and during the work neighborhood at lunch!
X-Training Events: I was all over yoga, Zumba and Body Pump this week. Next week I have big plans to try a hooping class!
Others: The Scientist and I are trying to get out and about on the bike/running again.
I’m totally in love with Body Pump and Zumba. I realize I mention it CONSTANTLY, but I can’t help it. I’m a fan! Tonight I convinced my friend, Karen, to join me for a Zumba class with Liza, my fave instructor. Liza is a little more hip-hop than latin flavor and I love that. It feels like a dance class and I leave sweating like a maniac.
I’m currently on a quest to get some Zumba, or aerobic shoes. My regular walking/running sneakers have way to much tread and cause me to get stuck on the floor quite a bit. Want to help me decide on some shoes?
Option 1:
Option 2:

Option 3:

Zappos.com has some great deals on all of these shoes so they run about the same price. I also know I will get TONS of use out of them since I’m hitting Zumba about 3 times a week.
Any thoughts? Other suggestions?
In other workout news, I got my
bondibands in the mail today! I had a black one that I wore during the Avon Walk. They are great for keeping my hair out of my face and wick away all the sweat. They are perfect for someone that has *tons* of hair like me. I decided to branch out and get some colors this time: teal and silver & black stripes.
I’m not going to lie. I’m not the best looking kid in these. I have a bowling ball for a head and it is completely my fault.
I don’t care how funky I look, I love LOVE love how great these bands are. Definitely check them out if you get a chance.
I’ve also decided that I need to challenge myself with the number of steps I’m taking each day. A friend of mine is doing a challenge at work where people compete to walk the most steps each day. I love this idea and decided to challenge myself and a co-worker to walk the recommended 10,000 steps (or more!) a day. The average person’s stride length is about 2.5 feet and it takes a little more than 2,000 steps to walk a mile. So 10,000 miles=5 miles a day. How great is that?! Walk 5 miles just by walking around doing regular day stuff.
Stay tuned. I’ll be letting you know how the challenge goes each week. Anyone else wear a pedometer? Want to join me in the 10,000 step challenge?!

Week # Completed: 2
Miles Logged on the Sneaks: 2…it was a rough week!
X-Training Events: Monday and Wednesday were 30-Day Shred days! I also did a “Goddess” workout from a DVD that I found in my basement. Eh.
Others: It was a little difficult to exercise this weekend because of my schedule. However, I’m back to the grind this week. The bag is packed and ready to go!
I’m still on photo lockdown but I will be back to normal photos tomorrow. I also have a great recipe for salsa to share!
